Walk/Jog - Learn to Run (7:15am)

Most people do too much too soon too quickly. In this workshop you will work through the first session of a tried-and-true gentle, progressive Walk/Run program. You'll discover how easy running can be, and that anyone can do it!
Yin Yoga

Transportation provided. Workshop to be conducted from 8:45am to 9:30am at the Aquatic Centre (10 minute drive from Pacific Palisades). The intention is to get you back for your 10am workshop.
Come and learn to dive... off 1 meter, 3 meter or higher???? Learn some basic skills to have you dive safer, don't hurt your head, legs or any other part of your body... challenge yourself to jump off something high up. Warm up, trampoline, dryboard, come and try it all......Note: Transportation provided. Taxi shuttle service departing at 8:15am. Workshop to be conducted at the Aquatic Centre (10 minute drive from Pacific Palisades).

Ritual and Celebration are integral to the human experience. But how do we awaken ourselves to the wonder and awe of ceremony, ritual, and celebration in our everyday lives?
Dolly will draw your attention to what we already experience as daily celebrations, share ways to expand the meaning and scope of your own personal rituals, and build appreciation of how rituals and myth making connect us to the life force of wellness within our families and communities.
Dolly will take participants through a series of fun activities and exercises that focus on self-discovery and exploration, nourishing our sense of well-being and allowing us to access the creative part of ourselves that can become dormant in the business of day-to-day life.
Participants are encouraged to bring along a sketchbook/notebook to use during the workshop.

Grab you suits, get your goggles, and don't forget those nose clips! (accessories will be included)
Janice will walk you through some very simple and gentle moves and will share stories of her Olympic experience at the1996 Summer Games. And not to worry - deep water need not apply. You'll be amazed at the control and strength that is needed to keep yourself at or near the surface of the water and we'll go retro and try to re-create Saturday Night Lives' 1985 Synchro skit. Laughter will certainly prevail and wonderful memories will be had. Don't forget your bathing cap and smile!

Originating from summer training for cross-country skiers in Finland, it is now one of the fastest growing, and most beneficial fitness activities in North America. In regular walking you only use your legs to move your body forward, with proper technique, Nordic Walking works your upper and lower body at the same time, strengthening your back, legs and arms, and reducing neck and shoulder tension - all this while improving the health of your heart and lungs. In fact it allows the same exercise intensity as running, without the high impact. And you can gain all these health benefits and more, while Nordic Walking with your friends; exercise intensity is determined by upper body effort so people of differing fitness levels can walk and talk together, while working to their own level with Nordic Walking. She was brutally attacked at age 15, left comotose....we are so honoured to have Romina at every WOMAN.
