19-Day Challenge

Mon, Oct 31st, 2011 11:53:03 am  [ Permalink ]

Dear Andrea,

How often do you exercise.....?
I was thinking of doing a ‘19-day challenge’, leading up to every WOMAN – Victoria.  STARTING TOMORROW.  (or today – if you say YES...then it would be a 20-day challenge...)

I will tell you that I walk my dog every day, run-2 to 3 x per week and bike once per week, but I don’t exercise EVERY day (unless the dog counts..)....so this would be a challenge for me, especially because I am organizing this event approaching.....What do you think????

~ Kerri Carlson

Kerri:

How often do I exercise – yes, I can do that.
I’m just getting over an exhausting cold, so I’m hoping I can start back to NIA tomorrow. I haven’t worked out for a week, blah.

Normally, I have NIA on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Fri. Pilates on Thursday. (And cycle to/from work every day.)  On the weekend, I’m usually gardening and cleaning the house. I try to fit in a Pilates session on one of those days.

Take care,
Andrea

This blog was written by Brenda Adams who is teaching three workshops at every WOMAN - Whistler 2011. ____ Last week I watched a fantastic video on TED. This was just sent to me from Mira Mira, belly dancer extraordinaire and the lovely Asmira's gorgeous daughter. Poem by: MAYA ANGELOU A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ... enough money within her control to move out and rent a place of her own, even if she never wants to or needs to... something perfect to wear if the employer, or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour... If you are thinking of joining an every WOMAN event, you are probably thinking, "it looks like fun, I want to try something new, I hope my body is able to actually do everything!"  Well that's great!  You are on the right track.  What you are probably not thinking about is how you are going to meet someone new who is going to inspire you, about how the interaction with that person is going to seem natural because you have just both launched sweat beads onto each other... Does blogging count as exercise?

Tue, Aug 18th, 2009 11:06:06 am  [ Permalink ]

Well holy crap, this is it.  We are now blogging.  every WOMAN is blogging.  We now have a blog.  Nope, this does not count as exercise.  Not even close.  But hey!  I think it counts as support!  Like exercise, if you are not motivated to blog, then along with a great-looking laptop (and/or a great pair of running shoes), you should obtain a partner.  So....let's work together, we'll remind you to be active and you remind us to keep blogging.  So get out there...
